I don’t know why I talk about building with pregnancy and birth terms… my apologies. But there are some similarities that I think a lot of people can relate too. One main similarity, for me, I have said the words “I am never building ever again!”. In-fact I have said that many times. I have built many times. It’s like when the beautiful house is “Born” and finished… it is just so pretty and all that you have ever dreamed of, then you think, I could do this again. It was bearable and so worth it to have the finished product. Just like a baby?? For the record, it is way easier building a house than having a baby!
Anyway, we have one more big step before we put this house on the market. Fit Off. We have been landscaping this weekend and this week is a fun week. We have tradies coming in fitting benchtops, splashbacks, light fittings, plumbing fittings and all the fun stuff. I am even catching up with the home stagers... I am so excited. That part is the icing on the cake.
I am starting to feel like I really want to move in. I really love the layout and could see myself living there so happily. We have had a few late dinners last week as we have been caught up having a quiet after work beer discussing and re-evaluating… Do we really want to stay at the farm? We love the space but hate the upkeep... should we sell this and move in there? We would still have gorgeous views there… and space... but… agh!!! I think we have decided we will stay at the farm. Well that’s today’s decision.
Next time I post, I will have photos of a completed home.
Until then… Here’s a pic of the JSP Builders team, Jason & Drew. They have done a great job! These two can build a wicked house and have put up with my crazy requests like champs, along with my crabby moods and endless questions. If you need a house built by a couple of builders that love a challenge, these two are your guys.
